Commission research
Research for organizations that would rather know
The same methods, the same disclosure, the same crosstab file we publish, applied to the question you need answered. Quietly, and on terms that keep a private poll from ever being presented as public opinion.
What we do
Four kinds of work
- 01
Private and internal polling
Benchmark and tracking surveys for organizations that need to know where opinion stands before they act. Delivered with the same methodology box and crosstab file we publish, so your team can interrogate the numbers.
- 02
Issue polling
Public attitudes on a policy, an industry or an institution, with neutral definitions reviewed by people on more than one side. Suitable for publication under your name, with our full disclosure attached.
- 03
Ballot-measure research
Baseline support, argument exposure, and likely-voter modeling for initiatives and referenda, with the ballot language tested as it will appear.
- 04
Question wording and instrument review
An independent review of a questionnaire before it fields, or an audit of a poll after it does. We tell you what the wording is likely to have done to the answers.
How we work
Three steps, one fixed price
- 1
A short call
What decision the research needs to inform, by when, and what you already know. We will tell you honestly if a survey is the wrong tool.
- 2
A written design
Population, sample size, mode, weighting plan, the draft instrument and a fixed price. Nothing fields until you have approved the exact questions.
- 3
Fielding and delivery
Typically two to three weeks from approval. You receive toplines, crosstabs, the data file, a methodology statement and a written memo on what it means.
Our terms
What you are agreeing to
-
Private means private.
We do not release, reference or hint at commissioned results. The existence of the engagement is confidential unless you say otherwise.
-
If you release it, you release it whole.
A client who publishes any result from a commissioned poll agrees to publish the methodology statement, the full question wording and the crosstabs with it, and to identify Integrity Polling as the research firm. Selective release is the one thing we will not be part of.
-
We write the questions with you, not for your conclusion.
Message testing is a legitimate research purpose and we do it. A poll designed to produce a predetermined number is not, and we decline that work.
